Being the change we want to see in the world

You don't see the ridiculous irony of your video (and your tactics?) against CANSEC? You say out of one side of your mouths that you are against their bombs and their wars while simultaneously saying you want to make war on them and throwing your version of a bomb at them! How are you any different? Because your bombs are smaller and cheaper? Because you don't have the power of the corporate state? Why would any person for peace, love and solidarity look forward to a world in which the new bosses are the same as the old ones? BTW, I'm an anarchist, too, and some of the Black Bloc is becoming its own corporate media caricature. Talk about stepping right into the cops'/propagandists' trap and alienating yourselves from working people.

Guerre à la Guerre! Never care the moralists, here's Harmony in diversity.

This is one working person who supports the black bloc and the anti-CANSEC people for what they've done. We need more of that fighting spirit in our unions, and less fairytales about influencing the government with fatuous press releases, lobbying efforts, and appeals to vote NDP.

i'm all for fighting spirit and don't believe in those fairy tales either, but i believe in a world in which violence is not a viable option and in which the false dichotomy of you are EITHER for all our tactics because we are supposedly on the same side OR you are with our enemies, i.e., you are EITHER with the bbloc in ottawa against cansec OR you are a liberal or something.

that should've read:

i believe in a world in which violence is not a viable option and neither are false dichotomies like ... with us/against us

The 'with us or against us' line is a fairly frequently used one by Nonviolence critics against those who are prepared to move outside those parameters. Yes, I agree that there can be a variety of positions on tactics, but I think that while dichotomies are simplistic, so is the 'mirror' concept (all violence is equal regardless of intent or effect).

Never heard of the concept you mention. Never said/don't believe all violence is the same. Not sure I would always be able to avoid using some degree of violence if my life/someone else's were under immediate threat but would want to use as little force as possible to stop/avoid that threat (true self-defense). Don't believe violence should be a tactic/tool/strategy because that's not the world I want.
